Seriously. Give it a rest.

Jesus warned us:

“If you forgive those who sin against you,
           your heavenly Father will forgive you.
But if you refuse to forgive others,
           your Father will not forgive your sins.

And then Jesus taught us to pray

“…forgive us our sins,
           as we forgive those who sin against us….

Can I say that I’ve forgiven everyone who’s offended me? Can you?

Think it doesn’t matter?

‘Cause Jesus also warns us about the Judgment Day standard:

“You will be treated as you treat others.
           The standard you use in judging
                      is the standard by which you will be judged.

Not really a confidence builder, is it? But that’s the way God says that He’s going to judge us.

So lighten up.
Take yourself less seriously.
And get serious with God.
